Introduction

Designated as the National Heritage number 134, Samseonghyeol has been said to be the birth place of legendary founders of Tamna; Goh Eulla, Yang Eulla, and Buh Eulla. There remain three holes known as the spots these three founders came out. At the site of about 21,000 square meters of luxuriant forest, there is Samseongjeon, Bunhyangso (a plece for offering incense), Jeonsacheong, and Sungbodang (a memorial hall for Confucianist services to honor distinguished scholars and statesmen) surrounding these three holes. On April 10, and October 10 every year, decendants offer Great Service of Spring and Fall (Chunchudaejae) and on December 10, Geonshidaejae by Jeju provincial government hosted by the Governor with the assistance of recommended local seniors.
The holes are forming triangular shape together and do not get wet by rain drops or snow. Trees surrounding them look as if they are bowing the three founders which amazes visitors.
